Hello everyone, my name is Mia, pronounced Me-a. I was born in Ottawa Ontario, and moved to Vancouver Island when I was 5 years old. I am a multicultural and multiracial cis-gendered, straight, able-bodied, adult woman who grew up on the traditional territories of the T’Souke First Nations. I am bilingual, speaking both French and English. Currently, I have the privilege of living in Victoria, B.C., and I will be finishing my sociology undergraduate degree by the end of the summer. My favorite academic subjects surround interrogating prior biases and discovering new ways of thinking and learning. On a personal note, my hobbies include going to the gym, doing yoga, and creating art, the picture below is an acrylic painting I created last year.
